How to use Kitty Kurlz: set-up, catnip and the first game
The toy arrives as a small folded block. Five minutes and a pinch of catnip turn it into a ring your cat can scratch, chase and sleep in.

Unfold it
Take the block out of the box and hold one printed end cap in each hand. Pull gently: the accordion opens fold by fold. Don't force the last folds; the cardboard relaxes after the first day of play.
Let the magnets meet
Bring the two end caps towards each other. The magnets inside snap together and the curl closes into a ring. Twist one end before closing it and you get a spiral instead.
Add the bell ball and catnip
Drop the 1.57 inch bell ball into the ring's track and roll it once so your cat hears it. Crumble a little of the included catnip into the folds — the cardboard holds the scent.
Play for the first five minutes
Many cats sniff, rub their cheek on the toy and walk away. That's normal. Roll the ball while your cat watches, then leave the toy where your cat already likes to play. Owners often find the cat in the middle of it the next morning.
Change the shape when interest drops
Open the magnets and stand the curl up as an arch, stack it into a tower, or open it flat as a bed. A new shape is a new toy to a cat.
Fold it away
Pull the magnets apart and push the folds back together into a block for storage or travel.
